I have been climbing on roofs and
measuring rooms since the summer of 2001. Before Branson, I was a Science and
Math teacher. My knowledge of geometry is definitely helpful for estimating
material takeoffs for our jobs.
Estimating is what I do most of the time now. I go to the job site,
measure, take notes and figure the cost of doing the job. I also work closely
with the customer, making sure that they are happy with the way their project is
going.
I am certified in Fire & Smoke Restoration, Water Damage Restoration
and Carpet Cleaning. Although I am not the one who is actually on
the job doing these things, I have had hands-on training and feel like I could
step in if I had to.
The part that I enjoy most about my job is being creative. Helping people
with a remodel can be very challenging and fun.
But my most important job at Branson Construction is smoothing ruffled
feathers! I am the back patter and the one who tries to show all the Branson
workers that what they do is appreciated.
